My Story
I published my first Electronic Pop Album, Fight 4 Diamonds, in 2013, which received critical acclaim and won the Abilu Music Award for Best Electronic Album of the Year. This success marked the beginning of my journey in the music industry, where I not only produced and performed music but also directed music videos for my tracks.
Over the years, I expanded my expertise by collaborating with other artists as a Music Video Director, blending my musical vision with theirs to create visually compelling stories. In 2017, I founded Villyvon in Beijing, a company dedicated to producing innovative music videos and fashion films. Through Villyvon, I have been able to explore new creative territories and push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
My visual style is deeply influenced by the aesthetics of German Expressionism. This influence is evident in my use of stark color contrasts and the dramatic interplay of light and shadow. These elements are not merely decorative but serve as powerful storytelling tools, adding depth, dimension, and emotional resonance to the narratives I craft.
After more than a decade of directing music videos and fashion films, I ventured into narrative filmmaking with my first short film, Paranoid. This film is a culmination of my artistic journey, seamlessly integrating the musical and visual elements I have refined over the years. In Paranoid, I aimed to create a compelling narrative that engages the audience on both a visual and emotional level, showcasing my unique style and creative vision.
